The chief scientist, Prof. Wang Feiyue, is a pioneer in international intelligent control and the founder of Chinese intelligent control. Supported by its internationally original parallel theory, WAYTOUS has developed an autonomous and controllable parallel mine operating system—“YuKon”. As an intelligent mine operating system applicable to all types of mines and scenarios, “YuKon” plays an important role in breaking through the key technological “barriers”. WAYTOUS has rendered services to domestic top energy and mine groups including CNH Energy, China Huaneng Group, SPIC, China Datang Corporation, China Baowu Group, China Coal Group, BBMG Corporation, and CR Cement, with more than 30 unmanned mine projects implemented. Meanwhile, WAYTOUS has made strategic arrangements in park logistics, engineering machinery intellectualization, short-distance transportation, and intelligent networking construction.

Dr. Long Chen

CEO & Co-Founder

The CEO and co-founder of WAYTOUS; a researcher of the “Hundred Talents Program”of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS); former professor, doctoral advisor, and the director of Unmanned Vehicle Research Center at School of Computer Science and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University.

Dr. Chen received undergraduate degree and master's degree in Remote Sensing from Wuhan University; PhD from National University of Singapore, postdoctoral degree from of Munich University of Technology. He was the champion of China Intelligent Vehicle Future Challenge. He is also the Vice Director of Parallel Intelligence Committee of Chinese Association of Automation(CAA), the Secretary General of Intelligent Mining Committee, a member of Hybrid Intelligence Committee, the Vice Director of International Parallel Driving Committee (iPDA); and IEEE Senior Member.

Dr. Chen is one of the founders building the first self-driving car in South China. His company is resolving bottlenecks in the field of intelligent mines and participating in more than 40 large-scale projects. Some projects have been appraised by academicians and experts to be at the international leading level, and have won more than 20 awards, such as the Outstanding Application Award of the International Intelligent Transportation Society (IITS), the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of the Chinese Society of Automation (CSA), etc. Dr. Chen also won the 2022 Coal Youth Science and Technology Award, Coal Mine Intelligence Excellence, "Fengze Talent" of Fengtai District, and many other awards and titles.
